Tiggy first travelled to Africa (Tanzania) in 2009, and joined Agape Volunteers as a Trip Adviser for Ghana after volunteering there for the second time in October 2012. She has volunteered in a variety of ways, including orphanage and teaching work, water projects and health education, and in Ghanaian health clinics and a hospital. Outside of Agape, Tiggy is a midwife and does fantastic youth work, and hopes to one day live and work in Africa. You can contact Tiggy at tiggy.agape@gmail.com.

Early Morning Rep Meetings Kick In As Our Busiest Season For Bookings Starts

Spring time is traditionally our busiest time for bookings as students begin to plan their summer trips with Agape. With this in mind, we expect our University Reps to be extra busy over the next four months, and their Rep managers, James Bentley and Will Sargent even more so. The volume of work they have to get through has reached such a level that they have even begun planning early morning meetings in their house in Birmingham, as the picture shows.

Peter acts as our volunteer liaison, looking out for our volunteers and ensuring that they settle in to life and work in Ghana. He will likely go with you on your first visits to your volunteer placement and will accompany you should you need to travel after dark. He's always happy to take photos and a great guy to know if you want an introduction to Takoradi's cafes and bars.
