Ghana is still reckoned to be the safest African Country and the one to visit if this is your first experience of Africa. The people are friendly, laid back and helpful. They really want you to have a good time and to see Ghana in a positive light and will always offer help if you ask, and even if you don’t! Because much travel is dependent on taxis and trotros, time keeping is variable, and things VERY rarely start on time. There is a “god will provide” approach and while this can be very positive it can make life frustrating at times. No one works in Ghana without becoming extremely frustrated, but learning to accept the pace of life there and the constant optimism that things will work out is all part of the life changing experience of living and working abroad. The Ghanaians have a great deal to share with us about how to approach life and enjoy it.
how would you like to Volunteer in Ghana
By volunteering with Agape in Ghana , you will be contributing to established projects in areas which are in real need. It is one of the most rewarding ways of making a difference in the world around you. You will be living and working alongside local people, exploring a new culture whilst helping them to build a better future. If there are two project areas you are interested in, you can even combine two placements to create your own unique experience.
